JOI Audio: Instructions You Listen To, Not Watch
This is JOI audio with the screen doing almost nothing. You get a beat to follow, real moans instead of a script being read at you, and timed instructions on screen telling you when to build, when to edge and when to stop. Free, in your browser, 18+.

Video does the work for you. That is the problem with it. Your eyes get busy, your attention goes out through the screen, and you end up finishing faster than you meant to because something on screen decided the pace. Take the video away and the pace comes back to you. What is left is a rhythm in your ears and your own body reporting back, which is the whole point of edging: you have to actually notice where you are.
So there is no film here. There is a still image, a beat, and sound.
The two audio modes
You pick which one you want before the session starts, and you can switch whenever you like:
- Metronome: a clean beat, nothing else. The BPM rises through the build phase and drops when you are told to slow down. Good if you want the rhythm bare, or if someone is in the next room.
- Real moans: audio recorded by an actual person, not synthesised, riding the same rhythm. Warmer, louder, and obviously the one you want headphones for.
Worth being straight about one thing: nobody narrates. There is no voice reading a script at you. The instructions are on screen, the audio carries the rhythm and the heat, and the two run together. If you were looking for a recorded voice telling you what to do word by word, this is not that.
How a session runs
Rounds, and every round has the same five phases, timed so you never guess:
- Build: follow the rising BPM.
- Edge: get to the brink and tap when you are there.
- Surf: slow down and hold, with breathing and pelvic-floor cues if you leave the tips on.
- Cooldown: hands off, recover.
- Finish: last round only.
Length and trainers
Four lengths: Easy is 2 rounds and about 5:53, Medium 3 rounds and 7:42, Hard 4 rounds and 10:39, Master 5 rounds and 13:33. There are 59 trainers to pick from, each with a name and a personality, so the session has a face and a mood rather than being a blank timer. At the end you get your stats: how long you lasted, how many edges, average BPM.
If you want the mechanics rather than the sound, the JOI game page walks through the rounds, and there is a wider stash of free JOI sessions to work through.
FAQ
Is this JOI audio free?
Yes. Free in the browser, no account, no paywall on the good part. Headphones are the only thing you need to bring.
Is there a voice giving the instructions?
No scripted voiceover. The audio is either a metronome beat or real recorded moans, and the instructions appear on screen in time with it. If you specifically want a narrated script, this is not that.
Are the moans real or AI?
Real. They were recorded by a person, and they follow the same rhythm the beat does, so the audio rises and eases with the phase you are in.
Can I listen with the screen off?
Not really. The audio carries the rhythm but the instructions are visual, so you need the screen where you can glance at it. Headphones in, phone propped up, that is the setup.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, it is built mobile-first. Phones, tablets, desktop. Nothing to install.
